by finding my father's childhood home on Kingsboro Road. Dad had
taken me to see the house before, but now that I have my own family -
and my children are the age he was when he lived here - the visit took
on a whole new meaning.
After reuniting Gran with her longtime friend and former teaching
partner, Amelia Gordon, it was off to The Varsity for lunch and to
meet Cathy & Mike Lambert - and their wonderful family. Olympic Park,
CNN, and the 'World of Coke' tour were all a part of our afternoon,
before traveling to the beautiful home of Jeff & Carolyn Hajek
(Amelia's daughter).
Carolyn - thank you for letting us crash your birthday party! It was
so wonderful to see you again, and to meet your family!
