Just back from our trip to Indiana this weekend. We got up very early on Saturday (left the house at 4:30 AM) so we could attend the Indiana Univ. vs. Univ. of Wisconsin football game in Bloomington. One of my former students, Brittany DiSalvo, is in her senior year with the marching band, and is Drum Major. She's the first femail Drum Major in the history of the university, so it was very cool to see her as she makes history with that great band. I also have several other former students that are currently - or previously - with the Marching Hundred. This picture is me with them. Laura Snyder (left) marched with the Color Guard of the Hundred until that section of the band was eliminated in 2004. Tim Williams (tall guy) is a sophomore trombone player in the band.
Following our day in Bloomington, we drove to Indianapolis to spend the night at a hotel. We were traveling with the Williams family. Glenn found us a $45 rate (on Priceline.com) at the downtown Radison. Pretty fancy!
Today we spent much of the day at the Indianapolis Chidren's Museum. It was far and away the best one we have ever been to.
