This weekend I surprised Kristen and the children with a one-night "get away" at Timber Ridge Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We left Friday afternoon at about 2:30, and arrived at about 4:30 PM. We did the water park until about 7:30 PM, and then continued all morning on Saturday. We headed back to DG after lunch. The Tokash family (from Playgroup) also headed north with us, and we enjoyed spending time with them.
Emery did the big tube-slide with me once, but decided that the Lazy River (she called it the "Crazy River") was more her speed. Miles on the other hand was more agressive (translation, more "boy") than I had seen before in a situation like this. He wanted less help from me, wanted his own inner tube on the Lazy River, and even wanted to go down the tallest slide in the park by himself on a one-person inner tube. (He wasn't allowed to because he didn't quite measure up to the height requirement; maybe next time!)
All in all we had a great trip!
