I love the concept of the Drive-In Movie. I've always thought they were fun. There are not a lot of drive-in theaters left these days. Only five or six in the Midwest from what I read. There are two in the Chicago area; the Cascade is located in West Chicago, which is about a 20 min. drive for us. $8 per adult for a double-feature every night of the summer. Kids 6 and under are free (yea!). Pets welcome too ... but we didn't try it with Penny this time.Miles and Emery loved the idea, and had fun anticipating what it would be like to sit in their sleeping bags in the back of a car and watch a movie. Of course it started way past their bedtime, and so I suspected they would fall asleep. No chance! They loved it, and stayed up the entire time.
