Today was GREAT! I took Miles and Emery to the Cubs game in Chicago, and we had a blast. Our friend Bridgid (who used to work for the Cubs ticketing office ... and still has connections) helped us acquire three tickets to the sold-out Saturday matinée vs. the Milwaukee Brewers, and the seats were terrific. I found out that the CTA runs a "Cubs Round-tripper" bus from the Yorktown Mall (5 min. from our house). Children under 11 ride free, so transportation totaled $7.50 for nearly door-to-door service.
The kids did a great job at the game. This was Emery's first Cubs game, and I believe it was the second Cubs game for Miles.
The Cubs had won their last seven games in a row, but we didn't bring them much luck, as they lost BIG today. Oh well, as they guy sitting next to us on the bus said, "The kids might as well learn now what it's like to be a Cubs fan!"
