The packing of the house has hit a feverish pace this past week, and into this weekend. Boxes everywhere ... and generally a lot of chaos.
Emery has been doing a lot of artwork in the last couple of weeks, and nearly every day I come home to a new piece that she has made specifically for me (talk about making dad feel good!). This morning I needed to go over to North High to help some of the art teachers set up for the Scholastic Art Show (North is hosting a regional exhibition this week, and tomorrow afternoon is the gala grand-opening.) When I told Emery where I was going, she asked if she could take her artwork to the art show. Hmmmmmm. How do you explain to a 4-year old that she can't really exhibit in the Scholastic Art show? Answer: you don't. You take her with you and let her exhibit in your office ... just down the hall from the real show.
