Miles is getting excited about the upcoming NCAA basketball tournament. In addition to hitting the court this afternoon for some pick-up ball against dad, he's been following many of the conference championship tournaments this week, and cheered hard for the Tigers as they beat Baylor tonight for their first-ever Big 12 tournament championship!
Hair cut for Miles today too. One of our "family traditions" is that he gets to put a quarter in the gum-ball machine when he's finished with the hair cut. Today Mr. Widner, our barber, teased Miles during the hair cut that he could only keep the gum-ball if a purple one came out that matched his shirt. Sure enough ... the gum-ball Gods were on Miles' side today.
Finally, Miles is participating in a 'Reading Challenge' at school. He set a goal for himself of twenty-books, which is not a small task for him since he has to actually read these (they can't be read to him), and he has to write a short summary of each book. He read his first two today, and the picture is of Kristen looking on as he works on the summary sheets.
