Kristen and I attended our first Jimmy Buffet concert last night, at Toyota Park (home of the Chicago Fire Soccer team). We joined Libby Lawson, and a group of Lawson friends from Columbia, as we all celebrated Warren's 40th birthday. It was quite a lot of fun, and great music.
I shouldn't have been, but I was surprised by the vast number of followers Buffet has at concerts such as these. It wasn't just the number of people in attendance, but the fact that they all seemed to know about a dozen rituals for pre-concert, concert, and post-concert behaviors. Amazing people-watching.
