Miles and I had a great Friday, traveling to and exploring Ann Arbor.
It was fun to show Miles some of Dad's graduate school stomping grounds "back in the day.". We started up on North Campus at the School of Music, and made our way to Central Campus as the afternoon wore on.
A true highlight of the day was attending and observing the Michigan Marching Band practice, and seeing former DGN trumpet player, Erin Amundsen, playing in the trumpet section.
After dinner we did a little apparel shopping in preparation for the Saturday football game, and then on to Band O Rama at historic Hill Auditorium.
To top it all off, we even made it back to the hotel in time to see the Cards pull out their improbable World Series win!
