I was really proud of both Miles & Emery for their perseverance and efforts on the trail today. They both did great!

It was lots of fun to be able to share today's hike with Terri and Allison.
And speaking of sharing the Grand Canyon with friends, one of Emery's very best friends from Hillcrest Elementary in Downers Grove, Elizabeth, was here today as her family makes their way to California.
Lots of fun for all of us to see Rich, Rhonda, Isabelle, and Elizabeth.
After all the hiking - and a lot of trail-mix snacks today - we were ready for something more substantial and enjoyed dinner at the historic El Tovar Hotel.
