We felt extremely fortunate to be able to spend some quality uninterrupted time together as a family on Allure of the Seas last week. It was a great ship and a provided terrific experiences for each of us in many unique ways.
A "family tradition" that has emerged for us over the years has been to set our vacation pictures and video to music once we return home. I always feel hesitant and a little self conscious about sharing these videos; it feels a bit like the 21st Century equivalent of the "social media" trends of the 1970s ... where families would invite one another to their homes and then share their vacation pictures via carousels filled with Kodak slides. I embed these videos to our Blog - not because we're seeking an audience outside our immediate family - but because all along Kristen and I have hoped this Blog will serve as an "electronic scrapbook" for Miles and Emery (and maybe even their own children) to return to years down the road.
