Today was our final day of visiting on this year's Columbia Summer Vacation. Highlights ...

* Miles vs. Dad baseball game
* Visit with G-Bird and Papa
* Birthday Celebration with Gigi. Happy 92nd!

Columbia Day 6

Highlights from today ...

* Miles/Emery/G-Bird/Gran/Kristen attended "Wizard of Oz" play.
* We all re-learned how to play Mankala. Miles and Emery both beat Dad at least once.
* Dinner at Fudruckers

* Miles and Emery visited the 'Youseum"
* iChat with Oliver and Amy
* Reading with Gran

Columbia Day 4

Highlights from today ...

* Kids sleep in!
* Lunch and play time at the Lawson family home.
* Dinner with G-Bird, Papa and Uncle Matt.

Columbia Day 3

Highlights included ...

* Hair cuts for Brayer and Miles at the Tiger Barber.
* Lunch at Addison's with Gran (Brayer/Miles/Emery)
* Lunch at Upper Crust with G-Bird (Kristen)
* "Going Bonkers" with the kids.
* An evening "Living Room Concert" by Miles and Emery (complete with behind-the-back drum "moves" by Miles and an original vocal by Emery)

Today was Miles' 6 and 1/2 "birthday." Gran made him half of a cake, with 6.5 candles.

Columbia Day 2

Highlights from today:

* Swimming at Twin Lakes "Pirates Cove"
* A second visit with Gigi, including a piano recital by Miles, and Miles taking on the "locals" in 'Wii' Cow-Racing. Nice.
* Play-date at Stephens Park with G.D. Miles and Emery both learned how to slide down a pole today.
* Dinner at Shakespeare's Pizza (Miles and Emery looked forward to having the 'pizza guy' toss them pizza dough all day).
* Visit to the Quadrangle at the University of Missouri.

Columbia Day 1

We're enjoying a visit to Columbia, MO this week. "Base Camp" is Gran's house, and we are doing spin-off excursions throughout the week.

Highlights from today included ...

* Emery and I visited Gigi at Tiger Place
* A visit with G-Bird and Papa which included a cookie-picnic and Miles beating me in checkers for the first time
* "Mexican Fiesta" Birthday Dinner for Penny Rose, who turned two today. Thanks Gran for spoiling our dog!
