Miles and I enjoyed the NU vs. Syracuse game yesterday. Before the game we played at "Wildcat Alley" which proved to be great fun. Miles participated in an 'athletic challenge' activity which included a high-jump, 40 yd. dash, and a shuttle-run. He had the fastest 6-year old time in the shuttle run. He also tossed a football through a target, and won a free pop-corn at the game. Both successes made him feel very good.
NU's football win made dad feel good! As I was thinking back on the day, I believe this was the first time I've taken one of the children to a game where I sat in my seat the entire time (except for typical trips to the rest-room or concession stand) and no one asked "Dad, when will it be over? Can we leave now?" Miles was totally engaged the entire game and asking rules questions frequently. Fun stuff.
Congrats to the Mizzou Tigers on their win over Illinois! Kristen and I enjoyed our night in front of the TV, even if it did cause temporary anxiety.
