First Communion / 125th Birthday

Today was the 125th Birthday of our church, St. Andrew's. Lots of activity, including three baptisms - and "first communions" for about twenty K-3rd graders. Emery and Miles both attended communion classes the last several Wednesday nights, and had their first 'official' communions this morning.

I snapped a picture of them with the Bishop of Chicago after the  service. Doing so made me remember that I had an old picture of me  with the Bishop ... which I believe was taken at my Confirmation. But  I include it here for a laugh.
