Today Emery helped me at school for over three hours, as staff and students assembled new marching percussion that was recently purchased. She was our official 'label maker' as we worked to catalog all the new equipment.
Emery has gone on record to say that she would like to play percussion in band. Knowing that the drums we unboxed today will be the drums we are still using when she eventually attends DGN, we thought it would be fun to take a picture of her with one of the new drums. If she really ends up pursuing percussion, maybe we can replicate the shot when she's a student at North.
